Cotswold Way: Dursley to Wotton-Under-Edge

It's safe to say that blogging dropped off the priority list for a while. Now that I feel ready to start again, let's not waste time. Here are the best moments from my second stint on the Cotswold Way, an approximately 8 mile stretch from Dursley to Wotton-Under-Edge.

Stow-on-the-Wold Circular, Cotswolds

Returning to Cotswolds to go walking when we have the chance is always a pleasure. We enjoyed our last circular walk in the Cotswolds from Castle Combe immensely so when we saw we were forecasted good weather at the weekend a couple of weeks ago, Harriet & I devised another of our improvised circular walks and headed … Continue reading Stow-on-the-Wold Circular, Cotswolds

Just Visiting: Blockley, Cotswolds

We recently went away for a weekend in the Cotswolds for Harriet's birthday. We ended up staying in the beautiful village of Blockley which provided a very central location for the walking we wanted to do and the places we wanted to visit. Nestled on the side of a hill, Blockley is only a few … Continue reading Just Visiting: Blockley, Cotswolds

On the Horizon: Severn and Thames Way

It is so good to have time off work! We have lots of walking arranged and lots more things to show you coming up in the next two weeks. Next weekend we will be embarking on another two-day adventure. Starting at the tiny village of Framilode on the banks of the Severn, we will be following the Severn … Continue reading On the Horizon: Severn and Thames Way

Just Visiting: Minchinhampton, Cotswolds

Minchinhampton is a small town in the Cotswolds near Stroud, Gloucestershire that is on the very top of a big hill. At points on the drive up, Harriet and I were directing words of encouragement at her car as it was clearly having to work very hard. The town itself is quaint and very pretty, but … Continue reading Just Visiting: Minchinhampton, Cotswolds

Greenspace Talking: Holywell Farm

Holywell is a small settlement near Wotton-Under-Edge, a Cotswold town about 10 miles from where we live. We recently walked some of the Cotswold Way which passes through W-u-E and Holywell. The surroundings are beautiful and exactly the sort of green space we love to spend our time in. We took a path next to a … Continue reading Greenspace Talking: Holywell Farm

On the Horizon: Wotton-under-Edge to Old Sodbury, Cotswold Way

We have decided to begin walking our most local National Trail this weekend, the Cotswold Way which runs from Bath to Chipping Campden in Gloucestershire. The entire route from start to finish is 106 miles. Over the course of what likely to be a long time, we aim to complete the entire trail. We will be … Continue reading On the Horizon: Wotton-under-Edge to Old Sodbury, Cotswold Way
